It’s been something like two weeks since I first started this blog. My goal was to make an entry every day, but of course that hasn’t happened. I suppose I’m not as disciplined and not as tough as I once was.
On discipline: For about 10 years I was a runner. I used to pop up out of bed at some early hour and bust out a few push-ups and flutter kicks before setting out on a 3-4 mile run. Those days are over. As I stumble into my thirties, I find myself exercising about once a week.
On toughness: Since the release of the MIAC report, those of us who would dare call ourselves Independent know that our government is actively targeting us. Never in my wildest dreams did I consider the possibility that here, in this country, I could get into trouble for my beliefs. The MIAC report shattered all of that. This is not a land of free speech and free ideas any longer. The knowledge that writing this blog could get me put on some government “list” somewhere scares me. I am frightened for myself, my family, and my countrymen. These things are not excuses for failing to make a blog entry in two weeks, but rather reasons.
I’m not sure what direction this blog will take as far as “calls to action” or the like. I suppose I started it because I felt someone should do something. One area where there is always work to be done is in the area of waking up my fellow Americans. If this blog causes even one person to ask more questions, or to vote, or to write their Representative, then it won’t have been in vain.
One area that could always use more attention is 9/11. I guess what I’d like to do is simply list some items about the attacks on that day, and hope that folks begin to develop some skepticism about the official government story we’ve been given. Also, if there are any government officials, elected or otherwise, that would like to comment on the items, I welcome them doing so. One of the more suspicious things about 9/11 is that while a whole Internet community questions the official story, people in power remain silent. It seems to me that if everything were on the up-and-up, people like Dick Cheney and Katie Couric would jump at the chance to explain and debate, to debunk and investigate. I mean, we’re talking about easily the most important event of this decade! I think that event deserves a vigorous discussion about what took place and by whom and for what purpose.
Item 1: ae911truth.org Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth is an online petition to the United States Congress, calling for an independent investigation into the World Trade Center collapses. The fact that 719 (to date) degreed, licensed, Architecture and Engineering professionals think there is something fishy about 9/11 is some of the most damning evidence of all. These are the experts! Personally, I look at the video of the buildings collapse and believe it to be a controlled demolition. But I’m just a layman. I’m an amateur. But the FACT that 719 experts also don’t like what they see just plain scares me.
Item 2: Thermite found in samples taken from WTC site After analyzing dust/debris from four different samples, researchers concluded that materials commonly used in controlled demolitions was present at Ground Zero. Go to stj911.org/evidence/ and read the article “Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe” from The Open Chemical Physics Journal.
Item 3: NORAD didn’t stop Flights 175 and 77 The U.S. spent about $290 billion in 2001 on defense. The U.S. is, by almost any measure, the world’s only remaining superpower. We spend more militarily than almost the rest of the world combined. It doesn’t take much more than plain ol’ common sense to know that our military trains for any number of scenarios involving hijacked airliners. The FACT that our military’s fighter jets did not intercept flights 175 and 77, even after Flight 11 collided with the WTC North tower, is a damning indictment of our military chain-of-command. Those planes went on to kill more Americans at WTC South and the Pentagon. To date, no one within the North American Aerospace Defense chain of command, whether military or civilian, has been held accountable.
These are just a few items about that day that give me pause. There are many others, but I believe that’s all for today. This stuff takes a lot out of me.
It’s difficult to come to terms with what you believe about your government, when what you believe is so terrible. This is one of the toughest hurdles we in the Truth Movement have to overcome—most people simply cannot compute that everything they thought was true and good is actually false and evil. I see examples of this everyday. Mainstream media outlets like Fox News are currently busy, now that a Democrat is President, trying to co-opt the Patriot movement for themselves. They have an easy job. Most self-described Republicans have no desire to look at 9/11 because their guy was in office at the time. People love George W. Bush. I suppose what I wanted to do with Left & Right Unite is try to understand why people are so loyal to him and others, rather than condemning them for being loyal.
This is what we MUST do if we are going to take back our government. We absolutely have to understand each other. Perhaps some folks liked Dubya because the media made fun of him and called him dumb, and they felt like the media elites had been calling them dumb for years, so they rallied behind him. Perhaps some folks liked Dubya because he was a Republican, and they considered themselves Republican because their parents voted that way, so they rallied behind him. Perhaps some folks liked Dubya because Bill Clinton was an obvious philanderer, and Dubya wasn’t, so they rallied behind him for their children’s sake, because they were scared about where the values had gone in this country.
The point I’m trying to make is that we have to set aside the Left v. Right battle right now, because I and others like me believe that sometime in the not-too-distant future we’re going to wake up and find that We the People have zero say in what happens politically. In order to do that, we have to recognize that most of us have good intentions when we venture into politics. We are fighting for something good or against something bad.
So, for those of you that need a charge or a call to action: Talk to your neighbors. Talk to the people in your community, your co-workers, etc. Try to find common ground. It’s the most valuable piece of real estate you can own.
